I failed ...
to grasp the meaning
to see a leeway for a dialog
to understand the timing and significance of this speech
I too am deeply saddened that this type of speech is coming from this type of authority ...

have we forgotten to take the responsibilities of our positions? have we forgotten not to insult others?have we forgotten to forgive mistakes of others? cant we explain ourselves and talk instead of burning down flags, bombing mosks and countries....goddammit...and who the fuck takes the pope serious anyways?and bush?haha.

hm, yes, the pope. i think this one is a dangerous man. as we all can figure out: even the journalist, or writer always uses quotations of interviewed people in articles, and the used quotes are always selected in order to tell the story from the perspective of the journalist writing it. and although they are not the journalist's own words, they are telling the story just like the journalist wants it.
Ratzinger defending his choice by: 'it are not my own words' is of course a crazy 'defense'.
also in the land Italy the pope is heavily interfering in daily national politics, explicitly attacking women's rights to make her own responsible choices...
etc.
so yes, i do find this pope and his agenda dangerous. his words were 'chosen' and that's it.
